We're getting heavy rain in the Portland area today and they're predicting more flooding. If you want to protect your property with sandbags, the City of Portland has several sand piles set up. Both sand and bags are free. I'm not sure if this is only available to residents of Portland or if those of us in suburban communities can use them too.
